New Medicare funding for Prostate Cancer

As of the 1st July, Medicare are now providing new funding for patients with prostate cancer. The two new MBS Item codes are for:

  • The initial staging of intermediate to high risk patients with prostate cancer
  • The restaging of patients with recurrent prostate cancer

Led by Clinical Director of Nuclear Medicine Dr Stefan Khosh and a team of highly experienced Radiologists at Lake Imaging, we offer the latest technology to deliver a high quality medical imaging service for our referring doctors and patients.

The new PSMA studies will be bulk billed for eligible patients.
