Dr Catherine Mandel

trained in radiology in Melbourne and neuroradiology in the UK, also working there as a Consultant Neuroradiologist. She currently works for both Lake Imaging and Swinburne University of Technology Neuroimaging.

Catherine was the lead radiologist for the Radiology Events Register (RaER) and was National Liaison Radiologist with the Quality Use of Diagnostic Imaging program (QUDI). She was also co-organiser of three conferences on error in medical imaging. She has facilitated risk management seminars for Australia’s largest medical defence organisation, Avant, and was a member of their Medical Experts Committee.
