Dr Vince Mercuri
Dr Mercuri completed his medical degree at The University of Melbourne and St Vincent’s Hospital. He trained in Radiology at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. During this time he undertook a six-month Breast Imaging Fellowship at Essendon and Northwestern Breastscreen. This was followed by further Fellowship training in MRI and Neuroradiology at Addenbrookes’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK.
In 1998 Dr Mercuri completed Sabbatical training in musculoskeletal imaging at the University of L’Aquila, Italy.
From 1989 – 2008 Dr Mercuri worked at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne as a consultant Radiologist as well as an appointment at St Vincent’s Hospital Breastscreen.
Vince was awarded a 2006 Churchill Fellowship to study “MRI screening for breast cancer in Women at High Risk”. This was undertaken at The Memorial and Sloan Kettering Centre in New York and at The Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
In 2007/08 Dr Mercuri completed a six month Sabbatical training in Cardiac Imaging at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois and is an accredited specialist in Cardiac Imaging
Dr Mercuri has been an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology since 2005 and is currently Co-lead examiner in Breast Imaging.
Dr Mercuri joined Lake Imaging in 2008.
